BIO

Seattle-area artist Taylor Heath is a musician’s musician. Growing up playing music in school, he could never quite stay settled on one instrument, always picking up something new along the way. While studying music at the collegiate level, he noticed that many of his accomplished and respected instructors had two things in common - they worked well with others, and they excelled in supporting roles.

In his adult life, Taylor has devoted his focus and craftsmanship in music toward those ends, going deeper into his musical disciplines for the sake of supporting and working with other artists.

“I’ve never been the frontman, songwriting type, I don’t really see myself as a bandleader, but some of the most incredible moments I’ve shared with other musicians have been as the “side-man”, the person quietly and confidently holding it down. I want to keep chasing that”, Taylor says.

After a rewarding college career, Taylor made his first recorded appearances with longtime friend Meghan Long on her debut record “Somewhere With Your Light”, working as a producer, engineer, and instrumentalist. More recently, he has been featured with Runaway Symphony, known for their hit song “Lie Awake and Dream” from the film “Father Figures”. Taylor is featured on Runaway Symphony’s latest full-length release “Phantasmascope” playing keys, synth, and horn.

Over the course of his musical education, he has been privileged to perform with jazz artists such as Pat Metheny, Branford Marsalis, and Joshua Redman. More recently, he has enjoyed performing regularly with Runaway Symphony, the West Coast Feed’s Jesse Butterworth, and more.
